Last week I posted a link to an article by Alan Jacobs I found thought provoking about why he wasn’t shifting his entire online presence to focus on trying to educate people about all the repercussions of the current White House’s actions. This week, some gentle pushback from Phil Christman, whom I appreciate reading:

I just take it that politics is one of those things where (to adapt a point of Chesterton’s) you need everybody doing their risible best. It’s supposed to be more like the Scratch Orchestra than the Vienna Philharmonic.
