@bbowman I feel like I experience a similar dynamic frequently with sites like Unherd. I’m grateful for a forum where I can encounter a heterodox or counter-cultural (I suppose some would say reactionary) viewpoint, but the editors can’t seem to help themselves with adopting a baseline tone that is gleefully pugilistic or polemical.
