Pyrotechnics have been a theme for this month’s Miniature Calendars:

A miniature diorama by Tatsuya Tanaka for August 1st, 2026. Set against a pitch-black night sky, three elaborate firework bursts are created from various shapes of dry pasta—fusilli spirals, conchiglie shells, and rotelle wagon wheels—mounted on long, wavy pasta stems. Below, a tiny miniature couple stands holding hands between two green bushes on a dark horizon, looking up in awe at the pasta fireworks display. A superhero-themed miniature diorama by Tatsuya Tanaka for August 8th, 2026. Five colorful plastic clothespins—white, blue, red, yellow, and green—are lined up atop rugged black volcanic rock, posed like a classic Sentai or Power Rangers hero team. Behind them, vibrant, translucent orange and red flame effects create a dramatic, fiery explosion backdrop. A miniature diorama by Tatsuya Tanaka for August 9th, 2026. Against a dark black background, two glass citrus squeezers and bright yellow lemon slices are arranged in the sky to resemble sparkling, illuminated fireworks. At the bottom, a tiny family figurine set—two parents and two children—sits and stands between two miniature trees, gazing up at the glowing lemon and glass display.
