Michigan State University is preparing for major changes after learning it will lose $10.5 million in annual federal funding for its SNAP-Ed programming, funding that has supported nutrition education for low-income families across all 83 Michigan counties.
…MSU Extension has provided SNAP-Ed services for more than 30 years, reaching more than 115,000 people in 2024 alone through over 1,000 community partners and 200 coalitions.
