A constellation of complimentary and contradictory social issues surround porn regulation, but at least in my online feeds, any disagreement about whether or not porn is “bad” for minors (it is) appears to be a settled issue. I can remember a time when it felt like the dominant retort to the pro-restriction camp is that this is all a bunch of harmless fun among consenting adults.

Porn and the Parens Patriae

Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton. That case revolves around two basic questions:

  1. Is pornography bad for kids?
  1. Is there a better way to protect them than age verification?
